Megaliner

As the size of the mills increases, production losses associated with equipment downtime become increasingly important. To reduce downtime, linings are increased in weight and size, reducing the number of components to be installed. The components of the Megaliner linings are significantly larger than conventional metal linings, while still being light enough to install with 7- and 8-axis refractory machines.

MAIN ADVANTAGES

• Thanks to the quick change of the lining, the utilization of the mill increases. The minimum number of lining elements and attachment points contributes to a significant reduction in installation and replacement times compared to conventional linings.
• A unique fastening system simplifies the installation and removal of the lining. The operator of the manipulator to replace the lining can remove the old lining and install a new one without assistance.
• The fastening system provides a higher level of safety when dismantling and replacing linings. The lining bolts are inserted and removed from the outside of the mill, so this process does not require the presence of the installation team in the zone of possible fall of the lining elements when installing or removing bolts.
• The lining weight and, as a result, the load on the drive are reduced.
